The Impact of Strikers on the Lives of Our Alumni

The biggest character traits I took away from Strikers Fox Valley are being cooperative and reliable. Being a part of that team atmosphere – especially the one I was a part of – we all played such an important role on our team and relied on each other so much.
The amount of time we spent together has had a tremendous impact on my life – for practice, in games and at tournaments – we all bonded so much. Some of my best memories are the road trips, hotel stays, dinners and adventures at tournaments! I will always appreciate all the memories and friendships that came from Strikers!
I continued playing soccer at Illinois Wesleyan University all four years, and played on the Strikers U23 team in the summer. I couldn’t give it up after that, and continued playing just for fun on co-ed teams for a few years with lots of Strikers Alumni! That is actually how I met my husband! I then coached at Strikers for many years. It was a great experience to coach young athletes for the same club that meant so much to me!
