I’d like to welcome back all of our returning members and newcomers! Some really exciting things have happened that I want to share with everyone as we move into the beginning of the 2022/23 seasons.

Last fall we introduced our Pre-Club and Developmental Rec programs lead by Coach Lauria. To date we’ve had over 600 boys and girls, ages 2 to 9, participating in the programs. The Developmental Rec program meets once a week and is an introduction to the game. The Pre-Club program met twice a week last fall and spring with one evening as a training session with club trainers and then league games were held on Saturday.

Last fall we formed a partnership with Batavia Park District to promote the Pre-Club program to residents of Batavia through their park district. Training and games were held at Engstrom Park in Batavia. It’s been a great partnership and this fall we’re happy to announce we will also partner with Geneva Park District. Training and games will be held at Peck South Park in Geneva. Pre-Club is for boys and girls ages 4-9 looking for more training prior to making the move to our club teams.

If you’ve passed by the training facility lately you’ve probably noticed the mural on the east wall is gone! A new entry was installed so our players can enter and exit for core and strength training without having to go through the facility. Aurora Sign Co. is currently making a new sign for the side of the building.

Summer camps are in full swing and have been very well attended. By popular demand we will look to increase the number and diversity of camps offered next summer.

Lots of exciting things happening with Strikers, as we continue to build on our motto, “One Community, One Club” – as well as on our vision of being the premier soccer club in the Tri-Cities area. Stay tuned for more information to come!
